I treasure the ordinary.
I am drawn to the way time leaves its traces—paint peeling off an old wall, each layer holding a story within its cracks. As a muralist, my art is shaped by the spaces I inhabit; the dialogue between space and context, artist and community. I begin with conversations, tracing histories, unraveling socio-political and cultural threads, allowing them to weave meaning into my work. The marks I make gradually find meaning beyond myself, becoming significant to others. My projects within the social sector stem from a deep curiosity about the rhythms of a city and its people. I navigate the intersections of art and design, shifting between mural-making, graphic storytelling, and illustration.
As a freelance visual artist and designer, I have collaborated with craftspeople, young artists, and designers, drawing inspiration from the city’s textures, patterns, and everyday elements. Material exploration is integral to my practice. Fabric, with its fluidity and tactility, allows me to create layered compositions through print, embroidery, and texture. Making collages allows me to discover unexpected connections, layering fragments of memory, place, and material. It helps me find compelling contexts to work with, shaping the way I approach both design and spatial storytelling.
I am an independent artist, design consultant, curator based in Bangalore, shifting between walls, canvases, and digital mediums—finding stories in the everyday.
